Fact Families
What am I learning?
The family of facts in multiplication and division
How can I make sure I am successful?
I can notice the difference between x and ÷ in a equation and explain my findings
I can notice a pattern between ÷ and x in an equation and explain my findings
I can write my own family of facts
Activity description/steps:
Very similar to the family of facts work you completed yesterday except today you will be using multiplication and division
What do you notice? Do you see the pattern?
Can you spot any differences?
Have a look at the worksheet here and have a practise at filling out the equations
Then have a go at making your own family of facts numbers here

Activity description/steps:
Check out the worksheet above.
Task one will require you to use a symbol to show which number out of the two have the higher value or the lesser value. “The Alligator always eats the bigger number”
Task two will require you to name numbers using equations. You could think of this task as being given the answer, and you need to come up with what the question could be.

What are keywords?
*Keywords relate directly to the topic
*Keywords unlock the meaning to the sentence.
*Keywords touch on things like who, what, when, where, why and how.
Read through the text aloud once, and once in your head. Look for words you are unfamiliar with and find their definitions.
Identify and create a list of the keywords you can find in the text.
Keyword connection Map
Look at the example below:
5. Use your own list of keywords to create a keyword connection map. The aim is to use a line to show that two words are connected from the story.
6. Then write a sentence or two explaining how the two words from the text are connected.
7. Send your work to your teacher.

What am I learning?
*to identify how technology has evolved over time.
How can I make sure I am successful?
*I research the technology to see what is was like in the 'old' days.
*to draw diagrams and pictures of the early stages of each piece of technology.
Activity description/steps:
Look at the image above, you will recognise these common types of technology from around your home and school.
Answer these questions in your mind, or chat about them with a family member:
What is each piece of Technology used for?
What is their purpose?
What is the full name for each piece of Technology?
Eg. TV = Television
Did you know that these pieces of technology haven't ALWAYS looked like this! Technology is something the changes or develops overtime in order to make it better, and better, and better.
Research the five pieces of Technology from the image above, to see what each looked like in the past.
Re-draw the technology from NOW to what they would of looked like then! Add labels too.
OR
Create a google slide showing both the NOW and THEN for each piece of technology.
