How can I make sure I am successful?

  • Use my brainstorm to develop a plan for my writing

  • Pick a planning template best suited for me

  • Fill out the planning template with DETAIL

  • Include a setting, characters, a problem and a resolution into my plan

Activity description/steps:

  1. Find your brainstorm from yesterday (if you haven’t yet done a brainstorm, you need to go back to yesterday’s learning).

  1. Pick ONE planning template (story map) that suits you best and copy it down/print it off.

  1. Fill out the planning template that you have chosen and make sure that you have added DETAIL into your plan. Make sure your plan includes: a setting, characters, a problem and a resolution. Hint: the more detail you add in your plan, the more juicy your story will be and the easier it will be to write your draft tomorrow.

  1. Share and talk through your plan with either a member of your whānau or a friend online. Get their feedback on your narrative and make tweeks on your plan if needed.
