*I can find numbers in and around my home or street
* I can write these numbers down and identify which place value ‘house’ each number belongs in
Activity description/steps:
Find a selection of numbers around your house! These might be on the microwave, on the clock, on the letterbox, or serial numbers on toys or cereal boxes.
Write some of these numbers down in a list. Break the numbers up into their correct numbers in the place value house system and write these down. Use the picture as a guide!
Read the numbers to a family member ensuring you state the whole number eg, three thousand, four hundred and twenty (3,420)
Play with and mix up the numbers. Find the biggest number you can make, and the smallest number you can make. Write these down in their correct columns and share with a teacher on class dojo!
Extras for early finishers
Make up any number you like and play a game of Place Value Hangman with a family member. Make sure that they identify which column a number should go in before they suggest their number..otherwise it is a fail!

Choose someone that inspires you. They might be a sports star, a musician, a politician or even a family member!
Using a piece of paper make a research planning page similar to the one you can see here Biographical Writing Planner
Using Kiddle to research and write notes about the hero you have chosen.
Research: early life information (where they were born etc), their important achievements, career highlights and what they are up to now!
Use your research and planning to create a page of writing about this hero.
Remember to have 1 main idea per paragraph. Use your full stops and capital letters. Write an informative piece of writing..tell us all about this hero! If you are choosing a family member you might need to

Activity description/steps:
Everybody has a different singing voice! Some people can sing high, some people can sing low, and some people can do both! There are different categories:
Bass , Tenor - most males , Alto ,Soprano - most females.
Have fun experimenting with this fun singing application Blob Opera and ask yourself the following questions
What do you notice about the soprano voices? Do they sound high or low?
What do you notice about the bass voices? Do they sound high or low?
Research task
Using Kiddle find a famous example of a bass singer, a tenor singer and a soprano singer! Type in questions like “who is a famous tenor singer?”
Draw pictures of these singers - your best work! Write facts about these singers around your picture and send a photo of this to your teacher on class dojo.
