Activity description/steps:
At the Pasifika festival they perform a Samoan sasa. As part of the sasa, each person slaps their legs two times and claps once.
Using the attached worksheet answer the questions relating to the sasa. Using your thinking can you understand a pattern or number sequence that you can explain?
We would love to see you record your OWN sasa pattern, and explain the slap and clap sequence!

Read the text
Read the questions
Look for the hints and the clues that answer the questions. The hints and the clues that are hidden in the text are keywords and ideas that tell you the answer.
E.g. sleep, candle light
Write sentences to answer the questions and use the keywords and key ideas to answer these

Today you will be focusing on writing a quick story/narrative using a writing prompt.
There are 3 to choose from, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to get creative and have fun producing your story/narrative. So let’s get started !
Read and Select ONE writing prompt here
Write your date and create a title for your writing prompt.
Read your chosen prompt carefully and make sure you follow the instructions.
Before you begin writing your short story. Time yourself (5 minutes), you want to use this time to write as much as you can.
Now read your story to yourself, to see if it makes sense. Then read it to someone. Check if it has the correct spelling, capital letters and full stops.
