Look at the poster above and write down the differences you notice e.g. are the symbols the same? What about the numbers?
Do you notice any patterns? What are they?
Have a look at the worksheet here and have a practise at filling out the equations
Then have a go at making your own family of facts numbers here

Activity description/steps:
Read the story here ‘a waste of space’
Answer the questions
-What was the story about
-Who were the main characters?
-What was the problem in the story
-How was the problem solved?
What did the author want you to know about?
-Would you recommend this story to someone to read? Why?/Why not?
Find at least 20 key words from the story and write these in your book
Open the word find generator. Enter the title and a description of what your words are e.g. you could just write the title of the book here
Enter your 20 words
Check the non personal box and click submit
Go to the top copy the link and send this to your teacher
