Activity description/steps:
It’s that exciting time of the year! Christmas is just around the corner and you have been given an allowance of $50 to get creative and by your family some christmas gifts!
Before you do..think about how this may not be enough. You might need to research some hacks, cheap and cool gifts - and get to work with your budget list!
Before you put that list together - practice by answering these questions:

Write a list that fits your $50 budget and total up your items! Make sure to use the strategies from the videos so that you don't go over budget :)
It would be embarrassing going to the counter and getting that DECLINE!

Activity description/steps:
1.Read the text quietly to ourselves.
2.Read the text aloud to a family member and use fluency (this means using expression, watch for punctuation and use voice modulation).
3.Ask a family member to ask you these questions AFTER you read each page and answer them verbally.

Paragraphs

How to write extra paragraphs building on a topic
How can I make sure I am successful?
-Read your first paragraph which is just about describing yourself
-Build on your topic by writing another paragraph about your family
-Build on your topic by writing another paragraph about where you live
Activity description/steps:
1.Re-read your first paragraph which is JUST about describing yourself.
2. Miss 2 lines and create an indent (2 finger space) THEN write 3 (or more) sentences (miss lines) about your family, JUST describing your family. Their names, ages, their personalities etc.
2.Re-read your 2nd paragraph about your family and make sure you have just written sentences about your family.
3.Reread your paragraph and EDIT it, checking for sense, spelling and punctuation.
4. Miss 2 lines, make an indent and write a paragraph about where you live, JUST describing where you live, the city, the area, your street and house.
5.Reread your paragraph and EDIT it, checking for sense, spelling and punctuation.
