What am I learning?

Testing your number knowledge through addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems.

How can I make sure I am successful?

*I have set a timer (if I have one)

*I start with the problems I know first, then move to the harder ones

*I complete the entire worksheet

Activity description/steps:

  1. Begin by reading the instructions. You will have 4 minutes to complete the worksheet. **you do not need to time yourself if you do not want to**

  2. If you are timing, make sure to have a look at the different sections and start with the ones you're most comfortable with. Then begin.

  3. Once finished, go back and fill in all the problems you skipped.

  4. If you are not timing yourself, just work through the worksheet at your own pace.

  5. Make sure you are writing down the problem AND answers to send through to your teacher once finished. You can even send through your score!

Activity description/steps:

1.Read the story Jump to yourself quietly in your head and identify any words you don't know. (Write them down if you can and use your syllables or chunks to try and work the word out).

2. Ask a family member to help you with the unknown or hard words.

3. Re-read the story to a family member using your fluency skills (Sounds “nice” and flowing, stop at fullstops and use expressions).

4. Find and record 10 WOW words. WOW words are not boring words they are fun and interesting words that make the reader excited and interested in what they are reading eg. She had a big ball. She had a gigantic ball! Gigantic is way more WOW than big isn't it?
