Activity description/steps:
Think about a mother figure in your life that you are thankful for
Draw that person in the centre of your paper with their name
Brainstorm some ideas around your drawing. Why are you thankful for them? What do they do for you? What do you love about them?
Use your brainstorm ideas to write a Mothers Day letter to the mother figure of your choice
Make sure you include drawings for visual effect
Share your letter on Sunday the 10th of May for Mother's day.

Write a character description about your mother figure. Use adjectives to describe their physical appearance and personality traits.

Activity description/steps:
Two ways that we BACK OTHERS are by being HELPFUL and ENCOURAGING.
Plan and write down 2 things you can do to help out your family today (two things that you wouldn’t normally be asked to do).
If you’re stuck for ideas watch this video of toddlers helping their parents with jobs around the house.
Take a picture / video of you doing these helpful tasks and upload it to your Class Dojo Portfolio.
Egg Skins
What am I learning?
*to plan, design and construct an egg protection system
How can I make sure I am successful?
*I will complete the worksheets to plan and design my egg
*I will successfully drop my egg from a height without it breaking
Activity description/steps:
You will be designing a system for an egg that protects it from breaking and then test it out by dropping it from on high. Use this worksheet to plan your design.
If you have more than one person in your house doing this challenge fill out the predictions worksheet.
Using household materials start constructing your egg protection system. Check out these photos for inspiration if you’re stuck.
Once your egg is ready film a video of you dropping your egg from a height. Get an adult to help you if you need. Keep adjusting and making changes until you can drop the egg without it breaking.
Send the video to your classroom teacher on Class Dojo Portfolio as well as the completed planning sheets.
