Camera Raw Filter is one of the easiest ways to begin editing photos. It looks similar to photo editing apps on your phone , like Instagram. It allows you to adjust things like brightness, shadows and hue (colour) by using sliders. You can use this tool in Adobe Photoshop and Photopea (located in the same part of the screen).
What would you use camera raw filter for?Â
Why might it be an important tool?
Which sliders might you use and it what ways to change the mood of an image? (e.g. happy, sad, dramatic).
Part 1
Pick a photo you have taken before (one you don't mind others seeing).
Open it in Photoshop and use the camera raw filter to practise adjustments (Filter > Camera Raw Filter)
Use the adjustments to edit your photo in three different ways:
-Happy
-Sad
-Drama Mamma
Make 'Camera RAW' subpage in your portfolio and insert your images. Label them (as happy, sad and dramatic).
Part 2
Save your original photo and your favourite one of the three you just edited (happy, sad or dramatic).
Upload these two photos to Google classroom. There is a spot for these under 'Classwork.' The file name should not say happy, sad or dramatic.
View the photos as a class and guess whether the edit is sad, happy or dramatic.
