Week 15 Monday
November 10th
Mode: Google Site Page
We have an exhibition coming up in week 15.
You must now decide which of your photographic work from the last semester best represents you as a photographer and create a pitch to have that work included in the exhibition.
The components of this task will total approximately 300-500 words.
You must print 3-5 of your best images that form a cohesive series (Frame sizes available A4, A3, A2, negotiated with your teacher)
Minimum one print-test (template provided)
100-200 word justification for why these images:
A) Are the best representation of your work
B) Form a cohesive series
Create a 100-150 word blurb that concisely explains your series to be displayed with the series
Provide a pitch (100-200 words) on what size and orientation your work should be displayed in and why (consider framed images, a photo book, rotating media display etc..).
Sketch or mock up of how you would like work displayed
The size and shape of a photo can totally change how people see it — big prints can feel dramatic, while small ones feel more personal, and turning it sideways or upright can guide where your eyes go first!
Templates provided for these paper sizes.
A5 (148 x 210 mm) – About the size of an iPad mini or a small notebook; feels personal and easy to hold.
A4 (210 x 297 mm) – Same size as your school worksheets or a standard printer page; familiar and easy to display in a folder
A3 (297 x 420 mm) – Like two A4 pages stuck together; similar to the size of the computer screens in the Photography room.
A2 (420 x 594 mm) – Nearly as tall as a skateboard deck or half a movie poster; bold and eye-catching from far away. The size of the educational posters in the photography room.
Provide each of the elements listed above on a separate subpage of your Google site
Provide your final three images as PNG file types, uploaded to Google classroom
