Mode: This will be an in-class assessment task.
Throughout the term, you have been learning about the different Elements of Art & principles of Design that are used to communicate messages in Design & Graphics. Your task will now be to use those to support you to analyse some examples of print advertisements.
You will get a one hour period to write your analysis on paper, submitting at the end of the lesson
You will be expected to:
Analyse elements and principles used in advertisements
Explain the message of some ads and link these to elements and principles used
Explain potential audiences for an ad
Consider ethical interpretations of the ad and make comparisons through evaluation
Use TEEAC and / or write in structured paragraphs
You will be expected to:
Use a design principle
Identify elements and principles used in advertisements
Explain the message of some ads and link these to elements and principles used
Consider ideas around ethics and audiences for an ad
Use TEEAC and / or write in structured sentences
apply the design process to solve graphic design problems
evaluate methods used to create practical designs that address specific audiences and purposes
