Superior gemellus muscle

The superior gemellus muscle is located inferior to the piriformis m., deep to the sciatic n., and superior to the tendon of the obturator internus m.

Action: Lateral rotation of  femur

Innervation: Nerve to obturator internus

Origin: Ischial tuberosity

Insertion: Greater trochanter of femur
