The extensor hallucis brevis muscle is a small muscle located on the dorsal surface of the foot, just deep to the tendons of the extensor digitorum longus muscle.

Action: Extends hallux

Innervation: Deep fibular nerve

Origin: Calcaneus

Insertion: Proximal phalanx hallux
