Longus capitis mm

Anterior to the vertebral column, the longus capitis m. arises from the transverse processes of multiple cervical vertebrae and inserts into the occipital bone anterior to the foramen magnum.  It is innervated by a branch of the cervical plexus, and it’s primary action is to flex or stalizize the cervical spine.
