Anterior cerebral a

Anterior branch of the internal carotid a.  The left and right anterior cerebral aa. are connected just anterior to the optic chiasm by the anterior communicating a.  The left and right arteries run in the longitudinal fissure between the left and right cerebral hemispheres, on top of the corpus callosum.  Supply blood to the medial surface of the frontal and parietal lobes of the cerebrum, and to the corpus callosum.
