Transverse dural sinuses

The transverse dural sinuses run along the posterior border of the tentorium cerebelli, from the confluens of the sinuses to the petrous part of the temporal bone, where the transverse sinuses leave the border of the tentorium cerebelli and become the sigmoid sinuses.  They make a groove on the inner surface of the occipital bone, the groove for the transverse sinus.
