Inferior rectus m.

One of the extraocular muscles, the inferior rectus is innervated by the oculomotor n. (CN III). It originates from the common tendinous ring (annulus of Zinn) and inserts on the inferior surface of the eyeball. Its primary action is to depression of the eyeball (i.e., move it downward).
