Posterior cranial fossa

The most posterior and inferior of the 3 cranial fossa, the posterior cranial fossa contains the cerebellum, medulla and pons.  It is enclosed by the occipital bone, the posterior part of the petrous part of the temporal bone, and some of the squamous parts of the temporal bones laterally.
