Fibularis longus muscle

The fibularis longus m. (a.k.a. peroneus longus m.) is located in the lateral compartment of the leg. It lies superficial to the fibularis brevis m.

action: Everts and plantar flexes ankle

nerve: Superficial fibular n.

origin: Fibula (lateral)

insertion: 1st metatarsal
