SUMMER TUNES

This is a exciting day and a wonderful tradition. As part of the Frederick Contra Dance series, the band is open to all once a year. Registrants receive a book of tunes and are invited to an all-day rehearsal, 10 to 5, on the day of the dance. After a dinner break, they return to play for the contra dance all evening. This was previously hosted by Liz Donaldson (keyboards) and Alex Mitchell (fiddle). These days it is Liz and Andrea Hoag (fiddle). They edit the tune book, lead the rehearsals, and conduct the performance.  Registration and fee are required. Registration information is usually at lizdonaldson.com.
