1. Is enough being done to stop the exploitation of workers in the developing world?

2. Should there be any limits on the right to freedom of speech?

I don’t think there should be some limits on the right to freedom speech. Let me explain with two reasons.

Firstly, the right to freedom of speech plays an important role in information sharing. During emergencies, the government tends to hide some facts from the people to protect their reputation and to prevent commotion. This misleads the people of the real scenario. For example, let’s look at the situation when a disaster hit Fukushima area. The meltdown of the nuclear power plant and the radiation created widespread controversy. The politicians always assured the citizens and the world that everything was under control. However, thanks to our freedom of speech anyone could share the real situation in the area, and we could get actual information of the status quo.

Secondly, the right to freedom of speech can stimulate societies to be more developed and more innovative. Technological innovation needs a lot of discussions to produce more efficient products. For instance, the US has the Silicon Valley where a lot of IT experts gather and freely express their opinions about technological aspects. Regardless of whether it is a good idea or an offensive, every opinion is taken into consideration. Because freedom of speech is highly respected, America has greatly advance in almost every field of innovation and invention.

Therefore, I strongly believe that we should not put any limit to the freedom of speech because it is not only good for getting correct information, but also a necessity in achieving highly innovative society. (251 words)
