We weren’t flying out until the afternoon, so we managed another trip to round off the holiday. This is a little place called Meia Praia – which I think means “middle beach”. It’s another place famed for its wild birds – and another place where the birds were too far away to photograph properly. However, I did manage to snap some of the local flora. (Plants don’t fly away when you point a camera at them!)
Then it was off to the airport in the afternoon and back to the more familiar habitat of Headington. Wayne and Dean helped us to wrap the arm of Jonah’s chair in bubble wrap before it went in the hold and it survived perfectly this time. I could see from his face that Jonah had been on tenterhooks for the whole journey and he was terrifically relieved when he was reunited with it in the arrival hall.
Judy Ford is writing all of our holiday adventures up as a book, so keep an eye open for DEATH ON THE ALGARVE, which is scheduled to come out on 1st August. Meanwhile, you can read about some of our earlier exploits in these other books: https://sites.google.com/site/llanwrdafamily/a-good-read-1
