Peter's up in Stockport now, staying at a hotel with Eddie, Crystal and the kids. Hannah and her two girls will be coming over from Leeds tomorrow. It's the first time that Eddie and Crystal have taken Ricky and Abigail away, so they were a bit nervous about it, but apparently Ricky has been so interested in everything that he hasn't had time to make a nuisance of himself. Abigail is still too young to be very bothered where she is, so long as all her special people are with her. So it's all gone very well so far. Now it's just a matter of whether they will get bored during the wedding ceremony and start playing up.
Jane and Jude are getting marrried in church (a proper C of E church!). I was surprised that they could, with Jane having been divorced, but apparently things are a lot more relaxed than they used to be, back in the days when divorcees always used to come to the Methodists to get married. I imagine that Jude's daughter, Keziah being a vicar helps!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Lucy has been swotting for her exams and jonah has been ordering me about in the garden. It's certainly been lookking a lot better since he came to live with us, but it's hard work keeping it the way he beleives he would have done if he was still fit and well. But then of course, if he hadn't been injured, he would never have come to live with us. I suppose he would have been rattling around on his own in that big house they used to have; and I'd still be a tutor at St Luke's College; only Peter would be likely to be doing much the same as he is now.
