Sally Pearson rang today to tells us that Charles Jayakody hs finally got his visa and is arriving at Heathrow tomorrow. I don't think I told you about him last year, when his daughter went missing after graduating from Lichfield College. We were too busy worrying about Wayne being knocked down by a hit-and-run driver to take much notice. But Jonah did help Sally to make an official Missing Person report. Then everything went quiet for ages and I'm afraid we all forgot about it rather. Anyway, he's on his way over hoping to find out what happened to his daughter, Amanda, whom he hasn't heard of for noearly a year. Sally suggested he speak to Peter and Jonah before his official meeting with Chief Superintendent Alison Brown on Monday. I think she's afraid he's going to be disappointed that amanda's disappearance won't be their number 1 top priority, what with a murder still unsolved and a teenage girl having gone missing only last week.
In a completely bizarre development, Anna has been on to Jonah to revive another unsolved Missing Person enquiry. The blood that they found on the back of the murder victim's head has been matched to Mollie Burgess's DNA. Mollie Burgess went missing three years ago, and Jonah was the SIO in one of his last cases before he retired. Of course, he's highly delighted to have teh opportunity to get back in the saddle and assist Anna with her enquiries!
