59 today - and many thanks to Lucy for her delicious cake and Sylvia for the lovely spread at teat time and to everyone for the presents. I've now caught jonah up again after a few weeks when he was a year my senior! Peter has taken the opportunity to have another go at persuading Jonah that we ought to retire. I rather fancy Jonah has it in mind to carry on an die in harness, but maybe when little Rachel starts grwoing up a bit he'll come round to the idea that having more time for his grandchildren might be nice. Lucy, to my surprise, backed Peter up. She's very conscious of the statistics that say that Jonah's life expectancy after his spinal cord injury is very much reduced and she's angling for him to spend more time at home. We shall see!
