What a dramatic start to the day! I just was getting Jonah dressed as normal when Martin Riess phoned. He and Paula (Professor Wellesley to you, but definitely Paula as far as he's concerned, but that's another story!) were on their way into college after a few days away on the Maid of Saxony when they fell over a dead body in the Fellows' Garden. I'm not sure why he decided to ring us. At least he did the right thing and called the police first. Of course Jonah is leaping around like an excited puppy (metaphorically) at the thought of getting stuck into a possible murder enquiry, and he was hardly able to wait for us to finish breakfast before we headed off to see what was what.
Luckily, Anna's the SIO and she doesn't object to him muscling in. It might have been a different story if it had been DCI Khan in charge. We're all in the SCR at the moment, watching the SOCOs combing the garden for clues, through the window.
