We had another Zoom meeting with Gavin and Chrissie today - in the early morning before Gavin's shift started. Chrissie is still very worried about the government's insistance that schools should be re-opening on 1st June, but her head teacher has promised that they won't be bounced into anything that isn't right for their students. She's hoping that, with it being a Special School, they'll be allowed more flexibility than mainstream schools. After all, all their students are on individualised learning packages, so it ought to be able to justify doign their return to school on an indvidualised basis too. Chrissie has been keeping up with all her class via video links and telephone calls and she's been out delivering equipment and learning materials to them herself too. she says that some of them would really benefit from being back in a classroom, but others are actually thriving under the online regime.
