It's been a long time since I posted anything. We've been busy with work recently - and lots of angst in the team over possible cuts. The Mounted Section has been given a reprieve (there were rumours that it might be abolished altogether) but they've been told "no promises". And the Dog Section is facing a review, which most likey will mean redundancies. Morale is pretty low at the moment, I'm afraid.
And it's not that much better at St Cyprian's. Peter went there this morning and reported that there have been more setbacks with the organ restoration. Father Damien is beginning to wonder if it really will be ready in time for Easter.
It was "Visit my Mosque" day today, when mosques all over Britain are open to visitors for a few hours. We all went to Central Oxford Mosque this afternoon, just to see what it was like. It's down Cowley Road, not far from where Peter used to live with his family. come to that, I lived in that part of Oxford too before I married Richard and moved into the posh part of Headington! it was very interesting. It's funny: Jonah was much less negative about everything he saw there than he is about Roman Catholic things such as the rosary, the sacred heart and saints!
