Abigail was baptised today. The whole church got very excited, because we don’t have many baptisms these days. Lucy is her godmother – something of which she is very proud. Ricky stole the show, toddling down the aisle, dressed to kill and carrying a little white-bound Bible to give to Abbie.
It only occurred to me today that, if Abigail’s kidnapping had gone differently, she might never have been baptised. I wonder if there are still people who think that un-baptised babies go to Limbo when they die?
