1881-1940
Born at Bridlington on October 27, 1881, Spink was apprenticed to William Nightingall and won the 1906 Northumberland Plate on Outbreak before switching to jumping.
He also rode in Austria for a while, winning the Hungarian Derby & Oaks.
He later trained.
Spink Birdsall Walkington died at Kingston-upon-Thames on September 20, 1940, aged 58.
