Eric Charles Brown took out a professional licence in 1926 and rode for over 20 years. His best season was in 1935-36.
He turned to training after the war.
He rode in 8 Grand Nationals.
His biggest wins were on Prince Madoc, 1934 Grand Sefton, and Second Act , 1936 Stanley Steeplechase. He also won this race the following year on Bondsman.
