Warren John Marston was born at Worcester on March 16, 1971, and grew up in Pershore and, later, on his parents farm in Tewksbury. He learned to ride at a pony club.
He was apprenticed to David Morley & David Nicholson.
Warren rode his first winner, Bel Course, at Worcester on May 16, 1990.
He went on to enjoy a 23-year career, winning over 700 races, before retiring, aged 40, in April 2011.
