Anthony was first jockey to the A M Kerr racing stables in Dorking.
Born on July12, 1935, he lived at Saddlers, Westcott Road, Dorking and, on May 30, 1959, married Yvonne Sait.
He served his apprenticeship with George Vergette whose stables stood in Market Deeping, Peterborough.
Anthony's first NH winner, Liconda, came at Sandown in 1959: his first Flat winner was on Titian at Pontefract.
