Blair, John

By no means a prolific winner, John, born on 28 December, 1933, was first past the post on just four occasions in the 1959-60 season.

Apprenticed to Harold Storey - who sent out horses from Sunny Bank Farm Stables, Mill Lane, Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth - John had his first winner when riding Harding at Catterick in December, 1957.

He went to the scales at 10 stone.

John gave his recreations as showjumping and car & motor cycle racing.
