Thomas Henry Dunn was born on September 6, 1879. He was apprenticed to Tom Cannon on the Flat before becoming a National Hunt jockey. He achieved his biggest
success when winning the 1906 Becher Chase on Denmark.
He served during the Great War. Afterwards, in 1922, he began working for the Sporting Chronicle and was their correspondent at Lewes for many years.
He died at Lewes on May 9, 1949, aged 69.
