O'Brien, Patrick

Patrick William O'Brien was born at West Barshaw, near Fakenham, on May 6, 1955.

Apprenticed to Fred Winter for three yeas, he rode his first winner, Sammy's Girl, at Fakenham on May 28, 1973.

Patrick won the 1977 Coral Golden Hurdle Final on Outpoint. This was the year that he rode his highest number of winners in a season, eleven.
