1992 February 7th Dinner & Court

The new design of menu/programme was a great improvement. This was sponsored by United Distillers who also donated some Royal Brackla Whisky.
Ninety-two attended the court - it was deemed a great success.
1992 March 23rd Management Committee
A review of the Dinner & Court was held to discuss areas of improvement. A cap on the numbers attending was discussed.
Financial help from the District Council for the renovation of the Ardclach pond had been promised. The pond had been cleaned out by Mike Jack with a digger. The size of generator required and the reconstruction of the hut were also discussed and the pond was to be put in good order over the summer, with a levy taken from Nairnshire Curling Association clubs.
The "Modified Monckton Rule" (creating a free guard zone) had been discussed by Moray Province. It was decided to await a lead from the RCCC.
1992 April 27th AGM
Alan Stanfield was elected Club President, with Bill Young Vice-president. Colin C Macgregor became the new Match Secretary. Tom Hastie, an enthusiastic member since 1968 was elected an Honorary Member.
In a comprehensive report by the Match Secy. it was noted that the nearest Achnatone pond came to being used was a repport that Bryce Stewart's dog was able to walk on the ice! Possible revision of the Sandy Gunn League rules was raised. Nairn had wona District Medal match against Elgin (+20). Graham Kerr had won the Moray Province Points, and in the Moray Province Leagues Mike McInnes had won Division 2, Ali Asher Division 3, and Colin C Macgregor Division 4.
The out-going president reported on the passing of both Sandy Gunn and past-president Sandy Hay. The outing to the Royal Marine Hotel and Ice Rink had been a great success and had included a visit in the snow to Brora cemetery to pay respects to Sandy Gunn.
1992 September 7th General Meeting
The President paid tribute to Honorary Member Tom Hastie on his recent passing.
The "Monckton Rule" would be applied in club competitions, and the 'Bill Young' rule in the Sandy Gunn League and the Park Cup.
A letter from Moray Province had been received outlining the construction of a new ice rink at Elgin, and asking for the Club's feelings about playing their games at Elgin. This would be the subject of a future Special General Meeting of the Club.
1992 November 9th Management Committee
There was a report on the cost of a lighting at Achnatone ( £1048 excl. installation and generator) It was agreed to investigate a grant from the Scottish Sports Council.
Sandy Macrae (Painter) was thanked for materials to waterproof the Achnatone Hut. A seeding system was devised for Sandy Gunn League skips to help newer and inexperienced skips.
