The 1877-1878 Annual records the result of a District Medal match played for between the Dyke and Forres Clubs.
The match was played 3 rinks with 4 men, each. The venue was Blairs Loch, and the umpire was Robt. Wallace, Dyke ( but his name appears also in the Banks of Findhorn membership list). On ice that was described as 'very good', Dyke won 53 to 31, and with their second District Medal win in three years, enhanced their reputation as formidable opponents.
