Mr Macarthur, Boghole, won the silver kettle of the Brodie Curling Club for a second time. (Note: this should read Dyke Curling Club, who curled at Brodie Pond)
The Altyre Curling Club played for a silver teapot on Blairs Loch. Mr Mclaren, forester, was the winner.
10th February 1883
In the Annual of 1883-1884, it is recorded that Fochabers played Dyke for a District Medal, and triumphed 44-31. The match was played at Darnaway on ice described as 'very good'.
