5th February 1971. - Dinner & Court - Report from 1971-72 Annual.
26th April 1971 - Annual General Meeting
It was reported that no major repairs had been carried out at the ponds, and that due to a lack of frost there had been no outdoor curling during the past season. These factors had resulted in an increase in the general account to £58.82 and in the reserve account to £119.48.
84 had attended the Dinner & Court held on Feb 5th 1971.
Prizewinners were congratulated. Eric Brown had won the Points and the Park Cup. Henry Downie had won the Jubilee Shield and Col. D H W Brown the Sandy Gunn League Shield. Annual Outing Trophy won by D H Forrester
The Rink of Eric Brown, Jas Asher,Robert Mirtle & Harold Forrester had won the Moray Province ‘A’ League (winning all their matches), No.5 Group Haig Trophy, The Captains Salver at Aviemore to qualify for the Scottish Finals, and had been beaten in the Perth Open ¼ finals by Chuck Hay.
Donald Fraser was re-elected president, but James Asher stood down as vice-president, having been elected president of the Scottish Bakers. Robert T Mirtle was elected vice-president.

26th July 1971. - Management Committee
The resignation of Tom Walls was intimated prior to his leaving Nairn on retiral from his dental practice. He had been Match Secretary from 1946 to 1971 (25 years). It was agreed to arrange a presentation.
A rule change (which had been proposed proposed by Galloway Province) was intimated from the RCCC - “ When a match is being played by time, no head may be started except an extra or deciding head, after the time signal has been given. If the time signal has not been given when the last stone of the last played end has come to rest, then another end shall be played”.
A request received from St Ninian FC who used the football pitch at the Farmers Showfield, to use the club-house as a dressing room was referred to the Ponds Committee to investigate further.
The rateable value of the Clubhouse and ponds had been increased from £31 to £60.
29th July 1971. - Management Committee
St Ninian FC was offering to pay the Club for use of the clubhouse and to upgrade the facilities, including installation of a shower. They offered £50 pa plus electricity for year one, thereafter £80 pa plus electricity. Any alterations would only be carried out subject to the approval of the Club
A sub-committee recommended the offer be declined and an Extraordinary General Meeting was called for 5th August.
5th August 1971 - Extraordinary General Meeting
The membership unanimously agreed “ not to accept the St Ninian FC offer or any other offer”, although they were sympathetic to their cause.
19th August 1971. - General Meeting
A St Ninian FC offer to buy the club-house for £500 was rejected by a clear majority of 17 - 10
Tom Walls was presented with a fine English leather travel case and a scroll appointing him a Life Member and Honorary Skip of Nairn Curling Club..
7th September 1971. - Management Committee
Arrangements for the visit of the 1972 American Tour were considered. On Saturday 29th January 1972 the tourists would play Grampian and Moray Provinces at Aviemore, and on Monday 31st they would play Ross & Cromarty and Inverness Provinces at Inverness.
18th November 1971 - Management Committee Meeting
Arrangements were approved for the Dinner & Court to be held in the Royal Hotel on Feb 4th 1972. Meal was to cost 80p, whisky on the table at £3.50 per bottle. The tickets were priced at £1.25p
An application was made for a rates rebate on the club-house..
28th November 1971 - Allander Trophy Winners
Eric Brown beat W Drysdale (Dunkeld) 10-9 in an exciting final to win the Allander for the third time.
