April 20th 1887

The following month, it was reported: "An assembly and ball under the auspices of the Auldearn Curling Club was held in the Dunbar Memorial Hall on Friday night. The assembly was largely attended and proved a most successful one, the arrangements being carried out in a most creditable manner by a committee of local gentlemen, with Mr Robertson, Moyness Mains, as secretary. The hall was beautifully decorated with shrubs and flowers kindly given for the occasion by Lady Dunbar of Boath. A party of the Nairn Orchestra consisting of Miss Paul, Messrs Keiller, Mills and Innes, supplied the music, and an excellent tea, purveyed by Mr Ogilvie, was supplied by the club." There followed a list of Invitations accepted by ladies and gentlemen.
