Auldearn and Glenferness were represented in a Moray Province Bonspeil which took place at Loch Park, Drummuir.
By 1906 the biennual Assembly (ball) held by Auldearn Curling Club had become a major feature of the Nairnshire social season.
13th March 1906 The Nairnshire Telegraph, Auldearn Curling Club Assembly
"The biennial assembly held under the auspices of the Auldearn Curling Club was held in the Dunbar Memorial Hall on Friday. Over seventy ladies and gentlemen were present. The hall was most tastefully and appropriately decorated with evergreens, brushes, curling stones and brooms. Excellent music was supplied by Watt's Band, Elgin. Mr J A Robertson acted most efficiently as MC, while the arrangements were most admirably carried out by Mr J S Robertson, secretary to the Club." (There followed a list of those present)
The ordinance survey map dated 1906 clearly shows the position of the Auldearn curling pond created in 1885. The pond had only 2 sheets and was situated on sandy soil which tended to dry up very quickly. It was only a short distance from the Auldearn railway station, which was very convenient for Nairn curlers alighting with their curling stones.

The aerial photograph was taken by satellite photography and clearly shows the rectangular outline of the ponds. The ponds were in use until the demise of the curling club in 1953.
