The Nairnshire Telegraph carried an obituary for Mr J S Robertson. He came to Nairnshire as the factor for Cawdor Estates in 1887 and joined Auldearn Curling Club. He became secretary of Auldearn and was an occasional member of Nairn for many years. He took an active part in the affairs of many local bodies, and was a foundation member of Nairn Golf Club.
