The Auldearn Club was flourishing, with a membership in excess of 30. A Macrae, Firhall is listed as the secretary.

The 1888-1889 Annual reported on the Annual Meeting held on the 25th July in the Waterloo Hotel, Edinburgh, including the admittance to membership of the Glenferness Club.
