The Dinner & Court had been a successful evening, but disappointingly the meal was not up to Golf View standards.

E F Brown informs the committee that he is retiring from active curling.  To be recommended to the AGM to be made an Honoury Skip

1984 April 3rd AGM

President David Kerr gave a satisfactory report on the season's activities. The Treasurer reported a final credit balance of £349.  David Kerr's rink had won the Moray Province Division 1 League before progressing to win the Area 10 Haig Trophy. David Philip had won the Annual Outing Trophy, and the Leven & MacArthur Cups had been won by the county.

Retiring President, D A Kerr, paid tribute to E F Brown on his retiral from active curling:

“Nairn and Highland curlers owe him a great deal of thanks for the skill, endeavour and support over years at the top of Scottish curling. Those who played with him learned a great deal - he was a great club man and a sticker to the rules.  On and off the ice he was an example to all others. His wisdom on the committee will be greatly missed”.    He was elected an Hon. Skip of the Club.

David A Taylor was elected president, with David Philip vice-president, but the post of Match Secretary was left vacant

1984  July 9th  Management Committee

President David Taylor has resigned on being promoted to Glasgow.  His excellent service to the Club was put on record.   David Philip was appointed President, and Bill Young Match Secretary.

1984 August 21st  General Meeting

Appointments on July 9th were ratified.   R M (Bob) Pottie was elected Vice-president.  Ice bookings for 9 teams entered for the Park Cup had been confirmed.

1984 November 6th  Management Committee

Willie Sanderson, President, RCCC, had accepted an invitation to attend the 1985 Dinner & Court, on February 1st. The Rev. Tom Heggie had agreed to propose the toast to 'Jack Frost'.
