24th September 1953 - Management Committee

A request from a club member was considered. He wished to exchange his pair of curling stones for a pair owned by the club and with which he had been playing. After discussion it was agreed this would not be right. However it was agreed to put some of the club's stones up for sale.

Mr JF Wilson had made suggestions to improve the lighting at the ponds, but the committee decided it should meet with Mr Wilson before making any decision.

24th September 1953 - AGM (46th)

A letter had been received from Elgin CC proposing a match at Aberdeen (indoors). Mr Jack Bookless (Highland) was arranging a bonspiel for 4th Nov 1953 at Perth. Dr MacDonald raised the question of Lady Members, and this was to be put on the agenda for the next AGM.

The Secretary/Treasurer's report for 1952-53 stated there had been little curling over the past season. Membership numbered 87. There was a cash balance of £82.15/-, but there was a long outstanding liability to JF Wilson, electrician, for work done converting the lighting in 1946 and for subsequent work. This was considered unfair to the club "unless of course Mr Wilson intends to make no charge".
