Leven Cup For Nairn Group
The third attempt to finish the Nairnshire Association’s annual bonspiel for the Leven Cup proved lucky and Nairn Group "A" Rinks No's 1, 2, and 3 were the winners of the trophy for this season.
The rink skipped by Dr Ian McFadyen with Col. Brown, Duncan Ross and T. Rosie were the winners of the President's brooches, having the highest number of shots up over their opponents.
The cup was handed over by Mr D. A. Macarthur, vice-president of the Association, in the unavoidable absence of the President Lord Leven, to Mr Robt. Taylor, President of the Nairn Club. Mr MacArthur thanked the Nairn Club for providing facilities for holding the bonspiel and particularly thanked Brother Curler F. J. Knowles for the excellent ice they had enjoyed playing on, in spite of the considerable difficulties he had encountered in providing it.
WON BY 14-SHOT MARGIN

The close associations formed with "Neighbouring Clubs" were expressed by Dr Douglas Macdonald. In reply, Len Hutchison promised continued rivalry and good fellowship.
Dr H. H. Gebbie wittily proposed "Wives and Sweethearts" and Major Wilson-Clarke was equally witty in reply. Hugh McCallum gave the vote of thanks to the Chairman and the evening closed on the stroke of midnight.
Percy Knight and Robert Mirtle (the entertainers) and James McMorran (who made the musical arrangements) earned the gratitude of all. A happy interlude was the presentation of a cheque by the Chairman to the Club's indefatigable iceman, Fred Knowles. The gift was subscribed to by all local curlers for Fred's valued services at all times of the day and night for the past fifteen years.
