7th February 1979 - Grand Match - Lake of Menteith
Nairn Curling Club's connection with Grand Matches, including the adventures of 1979, are related here .
9th March 1979 Management Committee
A successful court had been attended by Capt Jack Anderson, President RCCC.
A Top Table photo was regarded as a necessity for future Dinner & Courts
Nairn had lost a District Medal Match to Dalcross 13-28.
A Film Show had been held by the Province in the Lion Hotel, Auldearn on Sunday 4th March which had raised £120 of the £220 needed to pay for new 'Winners' Boards" at Inverness Ice Rink.
A coaching session with RCCC coaches Robert Craigie and Hugh Robertson (both Cawdor) is to be arranged for club beginners so that they can be started on the correct lines.
10th 1979 April - AGM

L Graham Kerr (Match Secy) reported on the Club's 'on ice' activities:
Outdoor curling during the past winter had been arranged by Bob Pottie on Loch Flemington
The RCCC Grand Match had been attended by two rinks:
D H Forrester(pres), R Berry, D A Kerr and E F Brown, who beat Stewarts Melville 17 - 4, and I A MacKintosh(Vice pres), R T Mirtle, J Asher and A Gunn, who beat Erskine no.1 13 - 12.
The Nairnshire Curling Association Leven Cup won by Nairn with two rinks skipped by D H Forrester and I A Mackintosh
E F Brown won the Annual Outing Trophy
District Medal result :- Nairn 28 - Dalcross 18
Eight teams were now competing in the Sandy Gunn League.
The Dennis Bonspiel was won by Tom Hastie(skip), with D Currie, D C Brown and A Gunn.
For the 2nd year running the Forres Bonspiel had been won by L G Kerr, D A Kerr T Hastie & A Gunn.
The General Account balance was £130.78, and the reserve account £279.31. Total profit from the dinner and stoup was £74.75.
13th September 1979. - General Meeting
The club trophies had been valued for insurance on 28th April as follows:
David Brown Shield £250; Park Cup with case £500; Sandy Gunn League Shield £70; Presidents Prize - The Kettle £150; Crystal Wine Decanter with two engraved labels £120; Presidents Chain of Office £120.
1979 3rd December - Management Committee
The necessary arrangements were confirmed for the Dinner & Court on 2nd February 1980 in the Golf View Hotel.
Due to RCCC Tour there would be no President or Vice-president at the dinner. Denis South, Senior Area 10 rep on RCCC was invited as principle guest. The meal to cost £4.45 per head and whisky £7.50 per bottle.
