Correspondence had been received regarding a new indoor ice rink at Aviemore and the Club indicated they would be interested in playing there.
It was noted that a new ice-man for the Club's ponds would be required at the end of the season.

TRIUMPH FOR NAIRN RINK
A rink from the Nairn Club won the Moyhall Trophy for the first time since it was presented for competition in 1892, when the Inverness - Strathspey Provincial Bonspiel took place at Grantown on Saturday. The winning No.1 Nairn rink was composed of G Oram, G. M McLean, J R.Asher and E. F. Brown (skip) and they finished 47 shots up. One hundred and seventy curlers took part and the ice on the open air pond was excellent. The North beat the South by 479 shots to 467 and the best South rink was Strathspey No.1, 30 shots up

Sympathetic reference made to the death of club-member Alan Daniels at the Grantown Inter Province Bonspiel on January 22nd. The police, ambulance service and Grantown hospital had been written to, thanking them for their sympathetic responses.
The purchase at 35/- each, of four new crampets which incorporated hacks, was approved.

COUNTY - TOWN BONSPIEL
Sixty-four curlers took part in the annual competition on the Nairn Club rink on Saturday. The Town (74 shots) beat the Country (60 shots).
At the end of a fine evening's rivalry D. A. Macarthur, vice-president of the Nairnshire Association called on T. Walls, president of the Moray and Nairn Province to present the Macarthur Cup to the leading rink (Nairn—F. D. Stevenson (skip), D. Ross. D. Fraser and D. Stewart). F. D. Stevenson suitably replied and filled the cup.
H. Robertson, Cawdor, on behalf of the competitors, thanked the Club for the use of the pond and clubhouse. Particular credit goes to E. F. Brown, past-president of the Nairn Club, who spent so much time and energy in producing such good ice in the brief period of frost.
Members of the leading rink on the side opposite the cup-winners: (Cawdor—A. Innes (skip), W. McConachie, Mrs Allan and T. Fraser) each received a small bottle of whisky.

E.F.BROWN WINS KETTLE
The Nairn Club's annual points competition took place on Friday when 31 competed and E. F. Brown ran out winner of the Kettle with 25 points. Runner-up was R. M, Pottie 20 pts. and third equal were R. A. Fraser and J. R. Asher, 19 pts. each.

CURLING
JUBILEE SHIELD WON
Six - rinks competed for the David Brown Jubilee Shield at the Nairn Club pond on Tuesday night (Feb. 15) when R. M. Pottie (skip), R. A. Fraser, D. Stewart and H. Downie ran out the winning rink.
WON ONE AND LOST WON
At Perth on Monday (Feb. 14) in a match Highlands v. Perth Ice Rink and R.C.C.C., a rink from the Nairn Club, E. F. Brown (skip), J. R. Asher, J. MacLeod and G. M. MacLean lost to Perth Ice Rink (E. Caldwell), 15 shots to 7 ; but beat the R.C.C.C. (Brig. F. Hibberd), 10 shots to 7.

Mrs Daniels had presented her late husband's curling stones to the club. The profit from the dinner amounted to £20:3/6. It was agreed that the final of the Park Cup would be played at Coylumbridge.
25th April 1966 - Management Committee
The Park Cup was still to be played, and this would be done “on first available ice”. It was agreed to carry out the initiation of several Elgin curlers at a court in Elgin on 25th November 1966..
25th April 1966 - Annual General Meeting
Sandy Hay elected president with Jim Webster as vice-president.
David Brown was elected an Hon Member in recognition of services to the Club rendered over a long period.

Proposals by F D Stevenson and W F Kerr:
Lady members should not be restricted in the use of club ice and facilities.
Lady members should be allowed to take part in club competitions and to be available for selection in club matches
The first proposal. was approved, but ithe second was remitted to committee with ref. to competition rules.
1st July 1966 - Management Committee
D Fraser and A Reid were appointed ice-men. The trees at the ponds would be trimmed to avoid electricity cables.
With reference to lady members playing in competitions, it was agreed that all rules would be revised before the start of coming season.
26th August 1966 - Management Committee
It was decided lady members could take part in all bonspiels, but after priority had been given to male members. There was apparently no desire among the ladies to play in Club matches.
A Highland Junior Section was being set up by A Russell (Newtonmore) and the secretary was asked to contact the rector of Nairn Academy to obtain a list of pupils interested in the game..
26th Sept 1966 - ManagementCommittee
Eight boys, aged 13-18 from Nairn Academy were interested in the Highland Junior Curling Group, making 78 names in total. The Dalzeil Trophy is to be held at Perth on October 3rd. The topping of trees had been carried out at a cost of £12.
26th Sept 1966 - General Meeting
Details were given of competitions to be run at Aviemore. One rink would be entered in the McEwan-Younger Trophy inter-province competition. Four rinks of ice were to be booked for the Club in November. It was agreed to send a congratulatory letter to Maj. Allan Cameron, Allangrange, on his becoming the first president of the International Curling Association.
4th November 1966 - Management Committee
Twenty-four members wished to play in the Club outing to Aviemore on Sunday November 27th and Highland CC were to be asked to supply the opposition.. Tom Walls, president of Moray Provine, reported that Nairn was the only club keen to participate in a Moray Province League competition at Aviemore. Arrangements were made for a Dinner & Court on 3rd February 1967 when Eadie Walls, brother of Tom Walls, would toast “Jack Frost”. The toast “Wives & Sweethearts “ was to be replaced by “Young Curlers”.
The lease of the ponds had run out in 1958 and the President was to contact N. Beaton of the Farming Society regarding its renewal, or a possible purchase of the ponds.
24th November 1966 - Management Committee
Regarding the lease, a reply from the Farming Society's solicitor, Mr A Laurenson, proposed the same terms for 15 years at £10 pa., with an opportunity to break after 7 years. This was agreed to. Seven rinks from Nairn CC would play Highland CC on 27th November. The annual dinner was to be held in the Royal Hotel on February 3rd 1967.
