The Northern Scot reported on a Morayshire v Banffshire match held on the Park Loch, Drummuir, on Saturday 12th January. The bonspiel was arranged by "the association of clubs" to encourage the game in Banffshire. The Great North of Scotland Railway Company kindly arranged for a passenger train to stop opposite the loch for the convenience of curlers and their stones. Morayshire won by 28 shots.

February 4th 1895 - From the RCCC Annual

A match between Auldearn and Glenferness for a District Medal was played on Auldearn Pond, two rinks a side. The ice was reported as "Fair, but badly biased". Auldearn lost 18 shots to 30

The formation of a club at the village of Croy was an indication of the spreading popularity of the game in the district.

A curling club was established which curled on a pond in the wood to the south of Hardhill, near Dakcross Castle
